About This

  • Do you grow Love-in-a-Mist for the pretty flowers and lacy foliage or the unique and attractive seedpods? Either way, you cannot go wrong with this flower seed. The colors in this seed mix are shades of red, white and blue and the blooms are up to 2 1/2 inches across.
  • This Nigella mix grows 16 inches tall as an annual plant across the country in USDA zones 4 - 9.
  • Sow 2 - 3 seeds per plant. Start the Nigella seed directly outdoors in the spring once frost danger has passed. Lightly cover the flower seeds and keep moist.
  • Nigellas bloom quickly, so planting the flower seeds in a succession of 3 week periods will give a longer display of blooms.
  • To dry the Love in a Mist, cut the seedpods and hang in bunches up-side-down in a warm, well-ventilated area.
